Investing in Trade Shows for 2013 & Beyond Makes Good Business
Its no secret that many companies have cut promotional budgets during this recession. But according to Expoweb.com, trade shows are still a top investment that any company can make. $24 billion each year is spent on exhibiting and exhibitions according to the CEIR (Center for Exhibition Industry Research). While budgets are cut, it is obvious many still understand the great value of trade shows for business success.
One of the most critical things discovered by this survey of the 233 exhibitors tells us, is that 99% of them believe in the great value you can only find with business to business exhibition at a trade show. With a trade show, you have the opportunity to get face-to-face, with hundreds, if not thousands of people who can make your latest product or service even more successful. So what’s the great importance about getting face-to-face with someone? The companies surveyed said that for marketing and sales, this had a “high value” with regard to marketing and sales. You simply aren’t going to have this experience when you place an ad in a print publication, run a TV spot, or even when you do an ambitious social media campaign. There is an exchange of ideas and conversation and tremendous networking potential you only get through that face-to-face opportunity!
Trade shows sound like the ideal opportunity to meet the most professionals interested in your products who can help you and your company become even more successful. When thinking about spending that promotional budget, it simply makes sense to plan to attend at least one – if not several – trade shows. Where else are you going to find professionals from a specific industry coming together in this way? A trade show lets you connect with professionals in an industry or a niche and share your new product or line of products and services. You can come away making connections that can be beneficial for the coming year – even beyond.
As we complete 2012, now is the time to look back on the year and 4th quarter, to reflect on how you would like your company to be more successful. Let trade shows help you reach a higher level of success!
